It's a Sun Devil GOOAAALLL!!!
Join the AME Esports Lounge for this season of football (or soccer)! Choose your favorite club team and take on your fellow Sun Devils to become the king of the league. Compete at the Esports Lounge in weekly matches to earn points towards the top of the standings. The top 8 players will compete in a championship tournament during the final week of the semester. Our winners will receive trophies and gift cards.
Tournament Format
This event will take place from February 17th until April 25th, 2025. This tournament is a season mode, followed by the top 8 players participating in a championship bracket tournament. Players will be expected to play 2 scheduled matches per week, excluding Spring break.
Dates
Registration closes Friday, February 14th at 10 p.m. MST
Play begins Monday, February 17th at 2 p.m. MST
Our championship tournament will run from Monday, April 21st until Friday, April 25th.
The league will pause for Spring Break
Match Format
Each match will be played on EA FC 25 for PlayStation 5. You are welcome to set your tactics and lineup before playing. Whenever possible, we will use the live rosters for each team.
Key Settings:
Halves - 5 minutes
CPU - Legendary
Extra time and penalties - Off during season play, On for championship tournament
Match Scheduling
Each player will take part in 2 matches per week. You will be contacted by the tournament staff in advance to schedule your matches. All matches must take place in the AME Esports Lounge during the normal operating hours of the AME Esports Lounge.
Monday & Wednesday: 2 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 12 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Please do your best to arrive at least before your match time for warm-up and tactics.
If you and your opponent cannot be available at the same time when the lounge is open, exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis.
Team Selection
You will pick a current club team at the time of registration, only 1 player is allowed to have each individual team. Our list of available teams comes from the Barclays Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1, MLS, Roshn Saudi League, and Serie A. Please note that due to EA licensing, some Serie A teams will appear under alternate names. Clubs can not be reassigned after registration, so please be sure to pick a team you are happy with.
Entry Fees
There is a $5 entry fee for this tournament. The entry fee is payable during online registration.
